Strings Attached: On the Road with the Dover Quartet (2020)
This film is made possible by support from the Festival de Música de Cámara San Miguel Allende.
Ever been curious about the backstage trials and successes of a world-renowned string quartet?
Follow award-winning director Bruce Broder as he gains exclusive access and follows the Dover Quartet, one of the world’s most celebrated quartets, in an eye-opening documentary that delves into the lives, on and off stage, of four superb musicians who give up the prospect of solo careers.
We are with these musicians when they ‘break through,’ winning the most prestigious international string quartet competition, and are suddenly in demand around the world.
Will the endless days and nights on the road, the cheap hotels, the slim pay and the internal conflicts overwhelm their love of the music? Or will the music win?
Mark your calendars for October 25 and tune in to this wonderful 90-minute film.
