Jonah Kim graduated from the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in the spring of 2006 at the age of 17. His solo performances include The Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, New Philharmonia, Symphony of the Americas, Orquestra Sinfônica Nacional, and many others. Kim’s recital venues have included Kimmel Cultural Campus, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Phillips Collections, and Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. These performances have been live-streamed and re-aired on podcasts, radio, and TV programs for WETA, WHYY, WITF, MPBN, WXEL, NPR, NBC, CBS, and PBS.
In addition, Kim has played in live concerts with pop figures including The Beach Boys, Andrea Bocelli, Vic Damone, Regis Philbin, Kenny Rogers, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Currently, he is an associate principal cello for San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.
