The Dover Quartet Online Concert

The Dover Quartet, Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music and winner of the 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition, embarks on a virtual tour for audiences in Latin America from October 24–30, 2020. This tour, offered online due to the coronavirus pandemic, features virtual performances in Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, and Chile.
Please join chamber music lovers all over the world for a special online concert on Tuesday, October 27 at 7 p.m. (Mexico City)/9 p.m. (U.S. East Coast). The concert will be followed by a live chat with these amazing musicians.
Performances will feature an exciting mix of repertoire, from Haydn’s iconic Quartet in D minor, Op. 76, No. 2 to Ligeti’s heart-pounding Quartet No. 1, “Metamorphoses nocturnes,” to Beethoven’s third string quartet, Op. 18, No. 2.
San Miguel de Allende audiences have welcomed the Dover Quartet in seasons 2017 and 2019. This concert is part of the Festival’s 2020 virtual offerings. The exciting quartet will close out the Festival de Música de Cámara de San Miguel de Allende in 2021.
