About the Role: We are seeking community members who care about our mission to make San Miguel de Allende a classical music destination and share our values to join our board. Collectively, the board serves in a governance and policy role in support of strategic and operational matters, our planning, and decision-making.

​

Board members serve two-year terms and voluntarily dedicate between 5 and 10 hours per month to prepare and attend meetings. Most meetings take place remotely via video call.

​

Each director participates in at least one board committee. Existing committees include fundraising, public relations, education, and programming.

​

Board members are encouraged to participate in Festival events and help raise awareness of our activities through their networks. Additionally, they are urged to leverage their skills to establish connections with educational institutions, cultural promotion foundations, agencies, and key individuals in the classical music scene in Mexico, the United States, and the rest of the world.

​

Board members will occasionally participate in group training on relevant topics and build a sense of community among themselves and associates in the "Friends of the Festival" program, a group composed of recurring donors.

 

We welcome all interested applicants and will prioritize those with the following skills/experiences/interests:

• Previous experience on boards or in related organizational leadership: Financial Management, Nonprofit Development Strategies (donors, sponsors, foundations), with permanent or partial residence (most of the year) in San Miguel de Allende.
