Become active and involved with this exciting San Miguel de Allende cultural event.  The Festival deliberately keeps the cost of tickets affordable and offers free concerts, with many geared to children.  

Entrance fees alone can’t begin to cover the complete cost of a Festival of this size and character, which is why support of the Festival for the benefit of all, and the cultural life of the city is the Festival’s greatest need and challenge - especially this coming year as the Festival celebrates Mexico’s Bicentennial Anniversary - It’s Revolutionary.

There are many avenues to draw close to this famous Festival - from its musicians who travel from all corners of the world to share their talents, to the lively and talented students, to the sophisticated audiences and the vibrant business community,  and to the cultural patrons who make the chamber music Festival come to life each year.

Personal Sponsorships

Underwrite a concert in your name, or in the memory of a loved one, or as a group of friends or family. Get to meet a group close up and personal. Your name will appear in the program, on the Music Notes and on the website as sponsor of the concert (should you wish), and you will receive a block of tickets for your special evening.  Read more.

Associate your business with the Festival by becoming a Sponsor. Choose from different levels of publicity highlighting your support for the Festival and its cultural values and be noted by the audiences. Support the San Miguel Chamber Music Society

Provide a strong base for the Festival by supporting  “Emerging Professionals “ from our advanced music student program.

We invite you to be part of this summer’s 32nd Chamber Music Festival by being a host home for a university age advanced music student or one of their In-Residence music professors. This will put you at the center of the excitement of the Festival’s International Advanced Music Student Program, led by the Carlos Chavez String Quartet, The Poulenc Trio with guest instructors, Synergy Brass Quintet, and composer, James Aikman. By being a host home, you would be helping a talented young musician realize their dreams of being at the San Miguel Chamber Music Festival and growing closer to their goal of becoming a full-fledged professional musician.

Students and In-Residence Musicians arrive on Wednesday, July 28th and depart on Sunday, August 15th. As a host home we ask you for a bed and access to a bath, and an informal, light breakfast for each person. The students are out of your house most of the day and evening as they have a very rigorous schedule with practice, master classes, public performances and evening concerts.

As a host you would have a blue ribbon pass to enter all student concerts and sit up-front. There will be student concerts at Bellas Artes at 1:00 daily and six or more ‘Rising Star’ concerts at 6:00 pm by the winners of the student programs in ’08 and ’09, all of whom have made great strides as musicians and are being paid a bit to perform in many cities in Mexico now. You can also see Festival performance groups such as the Endellion, Escher, Miro, Poulenc and St. Petersburg ensembles give master classes. The student is also asked to give you a recital in your home, and act with respect as your guest.

We are expecting to have 30 Mexican students and up to 20 students from the U.S. (We have been working so diligently on creating a U.S. student segment and are excited to see that it will come to fruition this year. Of course that creates more demand for host homes!) If you can say ‘yes’ to being a host for the university level advanced music student program or an In-Residence Musician it would be wonderful! I would then call to discuss your specific hosting situation.
