Founded in 1995 at the Oberlin Conservatory. Favorite of numerous summer festivals, the group regularly appears at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Chamber Music Northwest, La Jolla Summerfest, Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, and the White Pine Festival.
During the 2009 San Miguel de Allende Chamber Music Festival the young and talented Haven String Quartet commanded Bravos! and standing ovations. Their emotion-filled interpretations light up the intellects and hearts of our sophisticated audience. As an audience favorite, we are pleased they will join us again in 2010.
The Poulenc Trio brings together three uniquely gifted virtuosos, oboist Vladimir Lande, bassoonist Bryan Young, and pianist Irina Kaplan Lande. Combining brilliant 21st-century vibrancy with the best of European instrumental tradition, the trio's performances leap beyond the ordinary concert experience, transporting audiences into a world of beautiful sonorities, playful rhythms and dramatic excitement.
Inspired by the innovative American artist Alexander Calder, the Calder Quartet continues to expand its unique array of projects by performing traditional quartet repertoire as well as partnering with innovative modern composers, emerging musicians, and performers across genres. The group was awarded the 2009 ASCAP Adventurous Programming Award in recognition of its exciting programming and collaborations.
The Endellion is renowned as one of the finest quartets in the world. Over the years, its schedule has included regular tours of North and South America and concerts in Australasia, the Far East, the Middle East, South Africa and every West European country. In Britain, the Endellion String Quartet has appeared at nearly all of the major series and festivals and is regularly broadcast on BBC radio and television; it has appeared at the Proms, and it has been featured in the week-long programmes ‘Artist of the Week’ and ‘Artists in Focus’.
