The 33nd International Chamber Music Festival 2011

The 2011 festival took place Friday, July 29th through Sunday, August 14th, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 2011 festival theme was “Isn’t It Romantic?”

Considered the top chamber music festival in Latin America, it continues the tradition of presenting internationally acclaimed chamber music ensembles at incredibly accessible prices in intimate, acoustically satisfying venues in a charming historic town. The Festival’s Angela Peralta theater seats 275, with tickets ranging from $15.00 for balcony seating, to $42.00 for box seats and orchestra (through row 10).

In addition fifty Mexican and North American music students will be accepted into the festival’s International Advanced Student Music and Composition Program. The course includes master classes and coachings with the festival’s professional performing groups and in-residence staff from the Bellas Artes Nacional organization. Students perform in public venues throughout San Miguel and have opportunities to learn about Mexican cultural through home stays and excursions.
